True crocodiles are large semiaquatic reptiles that live throughout the tropics in Africa, Asia, the Americas and Australia. This fearsome croc model would look just as at home in any garden – especially one which contains a water feature. ALLIGATOR or CROCODILE ?
Although they appear similar, crocodiles and alligators belong to separate biological families. The quickest and easiest way to tell the difference between these two deadly creatures is the shape of the snout. While alligators have a wide, rounded snout, resembling an oval dinghy, crocodiles have a narrow, elongated snout, similar to a kayak. This shows up in this crocodile figure.
CROCODILE NIGHT VISION
Crocodiles are both short-sighted or long-sighted. They can see further than we can, and also make out the tiniest movements close to them. The menacing eyes of this model illustrate this trait.
