While global markets have recently had their ups and downs, we are currently experiencing a very bouyant Model Bull Market. Those beefy boys are proving extremely popular in a variety of areas.

The “no-nonsense” look , strong stature and all round show of brute strength makes this beast really stand out from the crowd.

Normally his standard livery is black and white, brown and white or all black, however if someone wishes one of these boys to appear in a different colour scheme – they can be transformed.

Steak was on the menu, as on this show Heston explained where the various cuts of meat originate from. With the beefy assistance of one of our lifesize Aberdeen Angus bull models, and one of his butcher pals; he illustrated perfectly to a hungry audience, the various cuts of meat and where they originate from..

Our model bull stood impassively while Jack the Butcher showed the areas of best flavour. The big beefy fibreglass bull model had chalk markings drawn on him to signify the various parts.

Later in the programme our prize Aberdeen Angus replica bull can be seen gazing through the kitchen window while Heston does his magic in the kitchen.

The fibreglass bull model only weighs around 70kg, so he can be easily carried.

Security and Stability

During production, metal spars are moulded under the hooves between the front and back legs. Holes are bored in the spars; which allows the bull statue to be either bolted, screwed or nailed down to a base for added security and stability.
If however, you require the life size model bull figure to be mobile; in order to take him out and in your premises – we can supply a trolley or “turfboard” which has four individual wheels underneath – with brakes .

The bull can then be bolted down onto the “turfboard” in order to be wheeled around. And to complete the “look” we cover it with the latest artificial turf or Astroturf; thereby transforming the skateboard into a turfboard. completing the image of a bull at grass.

If the life size bull figure is to be placed on a softer surface, such as a grass field, park or beach, metal tent pegs can be hammered into the ground to secure him, and then removed when required.

Both methods provide a great degree of stability and security from extreme elements – climatic and the odd dishonest human!

Strong As An Ox

The bull models are constructed entirely of fibreglass and polyester resin, making them extremely robust and durable; ensuring they are suitable for use indoors or outside. We recommend that if the models are going to used outdoors for a period of time, they be given a coat of exterior varnish or clear lacquer to provide additional protection from the elements.

Customisation

Our standard model bulls are in black, or black and white markings representing the Holstein breed; as well as brown and white.
However, if a client requires the animal to take on a different appearance , our artist can accurately work to a brief; frequently to tight deadlines.

We are often asked to design or provide input on a branding . In one such case, we liased closely with our client who was a wine producer . The normal “stuffy” attitude attributed to  wine selling was dismissed as a modern contemporary image was used. The main logo on the label of the bottle of this particular vintage featured a bull.​

The client wanted to “bring the bull to life” in order to promote the brand at Trade Exhibitions and Industry Events. They also planned to “place” the bull in ” selected urban locations” to provide further marketing exposure, thereby raising the profile of the drink. (Off the record, we can genuinely reveal it is a damn fine quaff…)

Model Bovine Collection

All of our life-size animal models are made of high quality polyester resin & fibre-glass. And the excellent life-size cattle models are one of our most popular ranges. As dairy farmers with lifelong experience of working with real dairy cattle, we felt qualified to design the life size replica cows; especially as we still have readymade real models running around the fields on the family farm.

Strength and stability

Our life-size standing model cow comes in two positions; either head-up or grazing with her head down. Through experience with plastic cows over the years; and unlike other inferior cattle models; a feature which we now specify as standard is metal spars moulded between the front and back legs. This provides far greater strength, as well as added security since holes are bored through the spars in order to peg or bolt down the model onto any surface.

There is also a lying-down cow model, and a lying down cow bench, which have metal lugs attached underneath to be used to secure the models onto the ground.

In addition there`s a calf model which is great on its own; or ideal as a companion to other cattle models to make a family cow group. This is one of the favourite animal models which we frequently having to modify for clients.

Customisation

We supply the cow models as standard Friesian or Holstein cattle or simply plain white – so that you can paint your own. However should you wish another breed of cattle or even totally different design, branding or modification; our artist will be only too happy to work to your brief. Various examples can be found in the Gallery. Length of lead times are dependent on the amount of work required; however we are well used to working to deadlines; so please just ask.

Likewise the bull model statues are available to order in black, black and white and brown and white.

Our models can be found not only across the UK; but widespread over all the continents. And the uses of the models is varied. This is perfectly illustrated in the gallery where individual clients mix with zoos, science museums, marketing companies, dairy businesses, cheese companies, charities and children`s farm attractions.

We recommend that all the animal models which are going to be used outdoors be coated with a transparent gloss of UV resistant varnish, but would advise where possible placing the models inside during winter months.
